Introducing Dr.A.I.Bot.Zero!!! This is a robot character I invented probably 12 to 14 years ago… the idea for the character has evolved throughout the years, mainly starting off as a Music/Video robot but with all the recent AI developments I think it was the perfect time to re-introduce the character in comic form!
I can tell he's from a little while back.. he's got a CD drive.
I think the worry is starting to take hold a little,.. I was watching a FranLab episode earlier and she talked about the fear that these AI bots are so optimised that human's will (as some point) be unable to compete. Despite the fact they can't do anything without human output as a starting point.
Perhaps the biggest surprise is that we didnt see this coming, although ripping off people's IP aint a surprise.
Yeah, in panel 3 of this page, the digital painting is one of my images used in the datasets. The image in the last panel is my image recycled thru the program and spit out in the steadily becoming generic ‘AI style’ … The best medicine for all this madness IMHO is to laugh… I’ve been saying for a few weeks now that I side with the artists of course because I’m an artist, but we can’t be mad at the users because for them it’s a once in a lifetime opportunity… I don’t appreciate those that are purposely mean to artists that just want nothing to do with this… but I still feel empathy for the users because I can understand that some of their hopes and dreams of making that comic or making that animated movie is at arm’s reach now… some things are beyond our control, so in my case, I believe my role is do my best to comment in the comic medium about current events that interest me… as always, thanks for the support my friend!
